SIPC Protection
When live trading is enabled, securities accounts held with Alpaca Securities LLC are protected by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) for up to $500,000 (including $250,000 for cash). SIPC protection covers the custodial risk of broker-dealer failure โ it does not protect against investment losses due to market fluctuations.
