1. Not Financial Advice
WealthSignal is an educational platform. Nothing on this platform constitutes personalized investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or an offer to provide investment advisory services. WealthSignal is not a registered investment advisor (RIA), broker-dealer, or financial planner.
The information, signals, strategies, analysis, and tools provided by WealthSignal are for educational and informational purposes only. They are not tailored to any individual's financial situation, investment objectives, risk tolerance, or needs.
Before making any real investment decisions, you should:
- Consult a licensed financial advisor or registered investment adviser (RIA)
- Conduct your own independent research and due diligence
- Consider your individual financial situation, goals, tax situation, and risk tolerance
- Seek legal and tax advice from qualified professionals
- Never invest money you cannot afford to lose
2. Paper Trading Only
All trading on WealthSignal is simulated (paper trading). No real money is at risk. WealthSignal does not connect to real brokerage accounts, does not hold customer funds, and does not execute real securities transactions.
Simulated results have inherent limitations that users must understand:
Slippage & Liquidity
Paper trading assumes ideal execution. Real trades are affected by bid-ask spreads, partial fills, market impact, and illiquidity.
No Fees or Taxes
Simulations do not deduct commissions, taxes, or other transaction costs that materially affect real-world returns.
No Emotional Factor
Paper trading removes the psychological stress of real money. Behavior with simulated funds often differs from real-money decisions.
False Confidence Risk
Strong paper trading performance may give a false sense of readiness for real markets. Past simulated performance does not predict future real results.
3. Algorithmic Signals
Algorithmic signals, buy/sell indicators, and strategy recommendations displayed on WealthSignal are generated by mathematical models for educational purposes only. These signals:
- Are NOT personalized to your financial situation, risk tolerance, or investment objectives
- May be delayed, inaccurate, or based on incomplete or stale market data
- Are generated by automated models that may contain errors, bugs, or unforeseen failure modes
- Should never be the sole basis for real investment decisions
- Have no guaranteed accuracy rate — all signals carry risk of being incorrect
- May behave unexpectedly in unusual or unprecedented market conditions
- Do not account for individual tax implications, portfolio concentration, or personal financial constraints
WealthSignal does not warrant that any signal, indicator, or strategy will generate positive returns. Algorithmic signals are analytical tools for education — not trading recommendations.
4. Backtesting Limitations
Backtesting shows how a strategy would have performed historically based on past data. Backtested results are hypothetical and do not guarantee future performance. Key limitations include:
- Survivorship bias: Backtests often use data from companies that still exist today, excluding those that failed, went bankrupt, or were delisted — artificially inflating results.
- Look-ahead bias: Strategies optimized using historical data may unknowingly "peek" at future data, producing results that cannot be replicated going forward.
- Overfitting: Models tuned to historical patterns may perform exceptionally on past data but fail on new, unseen market conditions.
- No guarantee of future repetition: Historical market patterns do not reliably repeat. Market conditions, regulations, and economic fundamentals evolve over time.
- Transaction costs not fully modeled: Commissions, taxes, slippage, and market impact can significantly reduce real-world returns compared to backtested figures.
- Data quality issues: Historical data may contain errors, gaps, or adjustments that affect backtest accuracy.
5. Market Data
Market data displayed on WealthSignal — including stock prices, ETF prices, cryptocurrency prices, indices, and other financial data — may be delayed, estimated, or sourced from third-party providers.
WealthSignal does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any market data displayed on the platform. Specifically:
- Price data may be delayed by 15 minutes or more depending on the data provider
- Data may contain errors, gaps, or missing entries due to provider issues
- Cryptocurrency prices are especially volatile and can change rapidly between display and execution
- Data from third-party providers is subject to their own terms, limitations, and inaccuracies
Nothing in WealthSignal's market data constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Market data is displayed for informational and educational purposes only.
6. Risk of Investing
All investing involves risk, including the possible loss of some or all of the principal invested. Before making real investment decisions, users should understand:
- Securities markets fluctuate and can decline sharply due to economic, political, or company-specific factors
- Past performance — whether real or simulated — does not guarantee future results
- Some investments can lose all of their value
- Leveraged and margin trading amplify both gains and losses — you may owe more than you invested
- Cryptocurrency and speculative assets carry additional risks including extreme volatility, regulatory uncertainty, and potential total loss
WealthSignal strongly recommends that users:
- Consult a licensed financial advisor before making real investment decisions
- Never invest money they cannot afford to lose entirely
- Diversify across asset classes, sectors, and geographies
- Understand the specific risks of each investment type before committing real capital
7. SEC Registration
WealthSignal operates as an educational technology platform. Current platform features — including investment education, paper trading simulation, algorithmic signals, and portfolio analytics — are offered as educational tools only, not financial services.
WealthSignal intends to register with the SEC and applicable regulators before offering any live trading, real-money investment management, or regulated financial advisory services. When such services are offered in the future, additional disclosures, agreements, regulatory filings, and compliance measures will be required.
Until SEC registration is completed and publicly disclosed, WealthSignal does not offer any regulated financial services and should not be treated as a regulated financial institution.
8. No Fiduciary Duty
WealthSignal owes no fiduciary duty to its users. WealthSignal does not act as a fiduciary, does not act in users' best interests as an investment advisor would, and does not manage or oversee users' real financial assets.
A fiduciary relationship — the duty to act solely in another party's best interest — requires specific regulatory registration and applies to licensed advisors, trustees, and similar professionals. WealthSignal is none of these.
WealthSignal provides tools and education. Investment decisions are yours alone, made at your own risk and discretion. WealthSignal bears no responsibility for real-world financial losses resulting from decisions informed by its platform, signals, strategies, or content.
WealthSignal is an educational platform. Not a financial advisor. Not a broker. Not a fiduciary. All trading is paper (simulated). No real money is at risk on this platform. For real investment decisions, consult a licensed financial professional.
