Real Trading Is Coming to WealthSignal
WealthSignal started as a paper trading and education platform. That is still our core mission. But the logical next step for our users — after they've tested their strategies, tracked their paper performance, and built real discipline — is to go live.
We are actively pursuing the regulatory approvals required to offer real money trading directly on WealthSignal.
What Regulatory Approval Means
To facilitate real trades in US equities, WealthSignal must either:
- Register as a Broker-Dealer with FINRA and the SEC — a process that requires capital requirements, background checks, infrastructure compliance, and ongoing regulatory reporting; or
- Partner with a registered Broker-Dealer who handles custody, clearing, and execution while WealthSignal provides the interface and education layer.
We are pursuing the second path first: partnership with an established broker-dealer that shares our commitment to investor education.
What Real Trading Will Look Like on WealthSignal
When real trading launches, here's what you can expect:
Integrated paper-to-live transition. Your paper portfolio and your real portfolio will live side by side. You'll see your simulated performance and your actual performance together — making it easy to compare strategy execution.
Familiar interface. Real trading will use the same Signals page, same strategy framework, and same performance metrics you've been using in paper mode. The only difference is real money.
Education-first guardrails. New users will be required to complete basic coursework and demonstrate paper trading proficiency before going live. We will not onboard users into real trading who haven't shown they understand risk management.
Fractional shares. Real trading will support fractional share purchases so you can replicate paper trading positions regardless of your capital size.
What You Should Do Now
The best thing you can do before real trading launches is become a better investor.
- Paper trade with discipline. Track your Sharpe ratio, max drawdown, and win rate.
- Backtest strategies you're interested in using the Strategy Builder.
- Complete the Risk Management Masterclass to prepare for the psychological realities of live trading.
When real trading launches, the users who will perform best are the ones who treated paper trading like it was real. Start now.
Expected Timeline
We are targeting real trading access in late 2026, pending regulatory approvals. Exact timing depends on the broker-dealer partnership finalization and SEC/FINRA review timelines, which are outside our direct control.
Users who complete a risk suitability questionnaire and demonstrate trading proficiency will be prioritized for early access when it launches.
